Next Youth Event—Escape Room
Hey Youth, grades 6-12 you are invited the Escape Room Adventure and Lunch on Saturday, May 4, from 11 am-12:30 pm. See whose team can discover the answers to questions in their room the fastest. We could use a few more adult volunteers.Contact the office if you are interested.
Point Place Days On the Horizon!
Save the dates for the following events and plan to join all of the fun!
~ Point Place Days Parade – Sat, June 1
Heroes: Who Inspires You? We will need many volunteers the day of the parade to help distribute candy and literature. If you’d like to donate candy for the parade just put it on the table under the TV in the lobby.
~ Free Bike Repair & Workshop – Sat, June 8
Plan to join the repair team from 10 am -1 pm on this fun day of service to our community. You don’t have to know how to fix a bike to join the team. We will need many volunteers to serve in a variety of ways during the repair. Contact the church office at 419-729-0733 if you’d like to help.
~ Outdoor Worship Service – Sun, June 9
You don’t want to miss this awesome worship service at the Lighthouse on Summit Street at 10:30 am. Point Place United Church of Christ, Riverpoint Ministries, and Messiah Lutheran Church will be joining us for worship. A free lunch will be provided after the service! Invite your friends and family to join us.
~ Community VBS – June 17, 18, & 19
The Race is the theme for this year’s Community VBS, hosted by CrossPoint and sponsored by the Point Place churches. All children ages 4 through grade 5 are invited to attend this fun event from 9:30 am to noon each day. Register your children at: RaceVBS.eventbrite.com

The Men’s group is taking a summer break.
~ Ladies’ Group
Join the Ladies’ Group this Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the home of Terry DeLong.
~ Dinner Out Group
Get to know one another and enjoy a great meal with the next Dinner Out Group at Manhattans Pub & Cheer, 1515 Adams St. Toledo, OH 43604 on Monday, May 13. This fun event includes special entertainment by the one and only Ben DeLong Band. We order at 6:30 pm. Sign up on the bulletin board near the kitchen.
Join the Tech Team!
We are in need of volunteers to help run sound and PowerPoint during the worship service. We will provide training for you. Contact Pastor Mike if you are interested in joining the Tech Team.
Refreshments
Join the Refreshment Team! Our Refreshment Team makes and serves coffee for our Sunday morning worship service each week. They also serve refreshments such as cookies, coffee bread, or fruit. Our Refreshments Team Coordinator, Stephany Petersberger, will help to acquaint you with the kitchen and how to make the coffee. It’s super easy. Sign up on the bulletin board near the kitchen if you’d like to help!
KidsPoint for age 3 – grade 6
Our KidsPoint ministry is full of awesome Bible lessons, fun crafts, and engaging games. Your children will begin the service in the sanctuary for the opening songs and will then be dismissed upstairs for class.
Crayons & Coloring Pages
Attention parents and grandparents! We have crayons and coloring pages available for children to use during the worship service and to take home with them following the service. The coloring packets are in a basket at the literature table. Feel free to help yourself!
The Blessing Box
The Blessing Box is located in the east entryway and is for everyone. All of the items at the Blessing Box are free. Take whatever you’d like and be blessed. If you would like to donate to the Blessing Box just place non-perishable food items and other new donated products in the box or on the table.
