Bridging the Gap

Our new series, Bridging the Gap, explores the period between the Old and New Testaments. This time period of 400 years has often been called the “silent years” because there were no prophetic writings during that time. But in reality, God was very active during this time, preparing the world for the Advent of his Son, Jesus Christ as the Messiah for not only the Jews, but for the whole world.

Join us every Sunday morning as Pastor Mike and Pastor Robbie show us how God has always been working to help us be receptive to the person and the message of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Join us in person each Sunday morning at 10:30 am at 4212 Onondaga Ave. in Point Place, or online at our Facebook page!

Flee From Idolatry

1 Corinthians 10:14 – “Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. “

Pastor Mike’s new sermon series is entitled “Flee From Idolatry.”

When we hear the word “idolatry,” we often think of wooden or bronze idols that people in the Old Testament worshiped. But there are other kinds of idols. The New Testament is full of warnings to flee from idolatry, and tear down our idols. Find out what this means during this series!

Join us every Sunday morning at 10:30 am in person or online (at https://facebook.com/toledocrosspoint). Hope to see you soon!

All Things New!

We are really excited about our new sermon series that began on August 3rd entitled “All Things New”!

You will be surprised at what the Bible teaches about heaven and our future life after death. It is probably different from what you think you know!

And it gives every one of us real hope for the future!

Join us every Sunday morning at 10:30 am in person or online (at https://facebook.com/toledocrosspoint). Hope to see you soon!

Good Friday events

Good Friday Events in Point Place

The churches in Point Place, including CrossPoint, are joining together for two Good Friday Events.

The first event is our Cross Walk. This begins at 11:00 am at the Lighthouse on Summit Street. Parking is available along Summit and at Cullen Park. We start at the Lighthouse, and then walk with the cross to Messiah Lutheran Church, Point Place United Church of Christ, and then on to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where the walk ends. There will be short reflections at each stop. There is parking available at each stop if you would like to use your vehicle. Join us for this contemplative time.

The other joint event is our Community Good Friday Service that begins at 7:00 pm and is held at RiverPoint Ministries United Methodist Church on 131st Street. This is always a deeply moving and participatory service, and it is led by Pastor Mike, Pastor Jon, and Pastor Amy. The service is one hour long.
